Christian Services

Clients seeking Christian Integrative Counselling understand that counselling does not seek to replace pastoral care ministries and cannot offer this service. Christian counselling seeks to address imbalances in the whole person (especially spiritually), and to understand what may be done to help the client address these imbalances in community with a Christian church or external pastoral care relationship.

Dual Relationships

lClients understand that whilst engaged in services with a counsellor at LifeHouse Counselling and Wellness, it is not ethical to have a relationship other than that of the client-counsellor relationship, which is strictly professional in nature. The counsellor that you are seeing will not accept or tolerate the persual of any other type of relationship. If the client persues a more personal relationship with the counsellor, the client risks the cancellation of all future sessions in accordance with the Australian Counselling Association ethical guidelines for practice.

GP Referrals
Client's understand that in Australia even highly qualified counsellors are unable to provide a diagnosis, prescribe medication or fulfil the requirements of a Mental Health Care Plan. Clients understand that you can only use a Mental Health Care Plan with a registered psychologist in Australia.
