A legal disclaimer

All financial information is processed through Stripe and not stored through this website. LifeHouse Counselling and Wellness does not believe in selling data and therefore all information given will only be used for contact, referral and counselling purposes. Written permission will be obtained when seeking a referral as specified throughout your session and with the provision of the referral form issued by your counsellor. 

Privacy Policy - Confidentiality during session. 

Client confidentiality: 

Clients understand that information discussed with your counsellor will be treated confidentially. Client's also understand that there are some matters that cannot be treated confidentially in counselling. These include: information which I give permission to disclose, matters that relate to possible serious harm to myself or others, children (persons under the age of 18) at risk of abuse, matters that need to be disclosed to a court (divulging knowledge of a crime), if notes are subpoaned by a court of law, and matters to be discussed during professional supervision (non-identifying details like case summaries).

As per privacy requirements as stated through the ACA (Australian Counselling Association), any hard copies of client information will be stored in locked filing cabinets. Initial confidential intake forms will be kept separately, in a separate locked draw with separate keys to that of case notes taken during the session.
